A Day in a Dream (2017)

Shot on 16mm in around 2012 to 2013, this is an exercise to sort of digital film restoration. Removing the dust and color correcting the footage in a proper manner. stabilizing the frame weaving coming out of a Russian 16mm film Camera,
This is a companion piece to my other film, "Through the Darkest Valley" when I was still learning how to color correct footage and failing at it.

This is a exploration in the medium to create images as sparsely different as possible, while still attaining the notion of todays society of informational overload. Shot with a super 8mm camera, with quite a new color-reversal film stock, Wittner-chrome, based on the Agfa-Aviphot Chrome by Agfa-Geavart.

Through the Darkest Valley (2013)

Through the Darkest Valley is an non-narrative film to create a feeling of an emotional cycle in a relation to the city. Shot and edited over the course of Fall 2012 to Spring 2013,
the Film is shot in 16mm on a Krasnogorsk-3 camera and a Super 8mm on a Bell and Howell camera. Shot on Kodak Vision 3 50D, 250D, Tri-X and the Hi-Con film.
It was transferred through Digital Optical Printer in San Francisco Art Institute.
